Who is this ChatGPT course for, and who is it not for?

It is for people who have a ChatGPT account, personal or through work, and use it as a slightly better search box. Account managers, HR advisers, project managers, consultants and founders of small firms get the most from it. It also suits teams whose company has rolled out ChatGPT and wants people using it well, not just logging in.

This course does not cover the OpenAI API or building apps with ChatGPT; those are taught in the optional Code track, in the build AI apps course. If your company uses Microsoft Copilot or Claude instead, take that tool's course; the prompting habits overlap, but the features do not.

What will I learn in the ChatGPT course?

Six modules, ordered from setting ChatGPT up to using it on your own documents and data. Feature details below come from OpenAI's help centre, and what you see can vary by plan.

1. Setting ChatGPT up for work

Custom instructions tell ChatGPT what to consider in every response, such as your role and preferred format. You write yours and test the difference.

2. Prompts that get usable drafts

Emails, briefs, summaries and plans, with the facts and limits that stop ChatGPT filling gaps with guesses.

3. Projects for ongoing work

Projects keep related chats, files and instructions together, and project instructions apply only inside that project. You set one up for a recurring piece of work.

4. Files and spreadsheets

Uploading documents and spreadsheets for summaries and analysis, and why exact figures need checking, especially from scanned or image-based tables.

5. Checking ChatGPT's answers

Asking for sources and assumptions, verifying figures against the original, and recognising a confident wrong answer.

6. Safe use at work

What not to upload, how a work account differs from a personal one, and how to follow your company's AI policy.

How does the personalised path adapt to me?

The diagnostic asks how you use ChatGPT now and gives you one real task to complete in it. If you already use custom instructions and projects, your path focuses on files, checking and safe use. If you mostly ask one-off questions, you start with set-up and prompting.

Examples are drawn from your role: an HR adviser drafts a policy explainer, a project manager turns meeting notes into an action list, an account manager prepares for a renewal call from a made-up account history.

What do I practise?

Every task happens in ChatGPT itself. One example from module four: you upload a made-up sales spreadsheet for the fictional Fernhill Coffee Roasters, a 15-person wholesale business, and ask ChatGPT which three customers dropped most in the last quarter. Then you check its answer against the sheet yourself.

The visible rubric checks that your prompt defined 'dropped' (value or percentage), named the date range, asked ChatGPT to show the figures it used, and that you caught or confirmed its numbers against the source rather than copying them into your report.

How long does the ChatGPT course take?

Lessons are 10 to 15 minutes, short enough to do between meetings with ChatGPT open in another tab. Your total path depends on the diagnostic and how often you practise, so we do not give a fixed number of hours.

What do I get at the end?

A final practical assessment asks you to complete a realistic piece of work in ChatGPT and show how you checked it. Passing earns a recognised certificate. It is not an accredited qualification and is not issued or endorsed by OpenAI.

How much does the ChatGPT course cost?

The ChatGPT course is included in all Tosheo.ai plans; you need your own ChatGPT access separately. Learning alone, the Individual plan is USD 79 a month or USD 790 a year. For a group, the Team plan is USD 189 a month or USD 1,890 a year for up to 3 members, then USD 49 a month or USD 490 a year per additional member, with volume pricing at 25 members or more. The 7-day free trial needs no credit card.
