Who is this AI automation course for, and who is it not for?
It is for people who own a repeated process: an operations manager routing supplier invoices, a recruiter sorting applications, a marketer turning webinar recordings into posts, or a small business owner answering the same enquiries every day. You need to know your process well; you do not need to code.
This course is not a developer or integration course. There is no scripting, API work or server setup here, since those are taught in the optional Code track, and it does not train you on one particular automation product. It teaches the concepts that every no-code automation tool shares, so you can design a sound workflow and brief whoever sets it up, or set it up yourself in the tool your company uses.
What will I learn in the AI automation course?
Five modules move from finding the right work to running an automation responsibly.
1. Spotting automatable work
A simple test: does it repeat, follow rules, start from a clear trigger and end in a checkable result? You map your own week against it.
2. No-code automation concepts
Triggers, actions, conditions, data passed between steps and what happens when a step fails, explained without tool-specific jargon.
3. Adding AI steps
Where an AI step earns its place (classifying, summarising, drafting, extracting fields) and how to write its instruction so the output is consistent.
4. Human checks
Approval points, sampling, confidence thresholds and who is told when something looks wrong.
5. Data rules
What data may pass through which tools, how long it is kept and how to follow your company's AI policy inside a workflow.
How does the personalised path adapt to me?
The diagnostic shows you three short process descriptions and asks which is worth automating and why. Your answers, plus your role, set your path. Someone who has already built simple rules in a spreadsheet or inbox moves fast through module two; someone new to the idea of a trigger starts there.
Worked examples follow your role: invoice intake for finance, candidate screening notes for HR, support ticket tagging for customer service, lead enrichment for sales.
What do I practise?
You practise designing workflows on paper and testing the AI step in a real tool. One example from module three: the fictional Harbour Lane Dental, a made-up three-site practice, wants incoming website enquiries sorted into booking, billing and complaint. You write the AI classification instruction, test it on ten made-up enquiries in an AI assistant and record where it misfiles.
The rubric, shown before you begin, checks that your instruction lists the allowed categories, says what to do when an enquiry fits none, asks for a short reason with each label, and that you sent every complaint to a person rather than an automatic reply.
How long does the AI automation course take?
Each lesson takes 10 to 15 minutes. How long your whole path runs depends on your diagnostic result and how often you practise, so we do not set a figure in hours. Many learners work on their own process alongside the lessons, which naturally spreads the path over a few weeks.
What do I get at the end?
A final practical assessment asks you to design and justify one workflow from your own job. Pass it and you earn a recognised certificate. It confirms practical, marked work and is not an accredited qualification. You also leave with a workflow design you can take to whoever manages your tools.
