What is this page comparing?
This page is not a product comparison. ChatGPT is an AI assistant; Tosheo.ai is planned training for using assistants like it at work. Tosheo.ai would sit alongside ChatGPT, not replace it, and does not include ChatGPT subscriptions. The question here is whether buying the tool is enough, or whether training is a separate need.
OpenAI's plan details come from OpenAI's own pricing and Academy pages, read on 16 October 2026. Tosheo.ai is pre-build, so its side is planned scope and nothing was tested or benchmarked.
Do you need AI training if you have ChatGPT?
Usually yes, but not always formal training. A ChatGPT seat gives someone a capable assistant. It does not tell them which company information they may paste in, how to give the context that turns a generic answer into a useful one, or how to catch an answer that is fluent and wrong. Those are habits, and habits come from practice with feedback.
Some people build those habits on their own. Many do not, and the gap shows up as two opposite problems: people who barely use the tool because early answers disappointed them, and people who use it constantly but pass on unchecked drafts. Training is aimed at both.
What does a ChatGPT Business seat include?
OpenAI's business pricing page, read on 16 October 2026, listed ChatGPT Business Standard seats at "$20/month if billed annually. $25/month if billed monthly", and Premium seats at "$100/month if billed annually. $125/month if billed monthly", with plans "available starting at 2 users". It lists "No training on your business data by default", "Secure workspace with SAML, SSO, and MFA", an admin console, usage analytics and spend controls. SCIM is marked as not included on Business.
On learning, the same page marks "Dedicated onboarding" as not included for Business, and included for ChatGPT Enterprise, which has custom pricing through sales. OpenAI also runs OpenAI Academy, which lists courses for knowledge workers, leaders and builders, including an "Apply AI at Work" course described as helping people "Build core habits in prompting and review". The Academy pages read did not state a price or a certificate.
What does training add that the tool does not?
Training adds a standard and someone checking the work against it. Here is a fictional example from a support team at Pellow Garden Supply, which uses ChatGPT Business.
The prompt
"Write a reply to this customer who says their hose reel arrived broken." The agent pastes the customer's message, including their full home address and order history.
The weak output
A warm, polished reply that promises a full refund and free next-day replacement. Neither is the company's policy, which offers a replacement within five working days after a photo.
What training changes
The agent learns to remove the address before pasting, to give the policy in the prompt, and to check every commitment in the reply against it.
The reviewed version
A reply that apologises, asks for a photo of the damage and states the five-working-day replacement, with no refund promise and no personal data shared with the tool.
What does the tool cover, and what does training cover?
The tool and training answer different questions, which is why most teams need both.
| Need | ChatGPT Business (published 16 October 2026) | Training, such as planned Tosheo.ai |
|---|---|---|
| Access to a capable model | Yes, per seat. | No; tool subscriptions are separate. |
| Admin and data controls | Admin console, SAML SSO, no training on business data by default. | Not a substitute for tool settings. |
| Knowing what to share | Depends on company policy and the user. | Practised in tasks, with feedback. |
| Checking output | Left to the user. | Scored against a visible rubric. |
| Manager view of skill | Usage analytics. | Planned skill progress and completion, not chat logs. |
When is ChatGPT on its own enough?
ChatGPT alone, with OpenAI's own learning resources, can be enough in several situations, and in those cases you should not buy separate training.
A very small, motivated team
Three or four people who already experiment, share prompts and review each other's work may learn faster by doing.
Low-risk use
If the tool is only used for internal brainstorming with no customer data or published output, the cost of mistakes is low.
Enterprise onboarding
ChatGPT Enterprise lists dedicated onboarding and account management, which may cover what a larger buyer needs.
Free resources fit the need
OpenAI Academy lists courses for knowledge workers. If a short course plus a clear company policy changes how people work, that may be sufficient.
When is structured training worth adding?
Training is worth adding when the tool is in use but the output cannot be trusted, or when usage is low and nobody knows why. Signs include drafts that reach customers with invented details, staff who are unsure what they may paste in, and managers who can see usage numbers but not whether anyone is good at the work.
Tosheo.ai is being built for that case. A manager would pick the tools the team uses, including ChatGPT, and each learner would practise real tasks for their role in that tool, graded against a rubric they can see. Managers would see skill progress, not chats. It is pre-build, so treat that as planned scope.
How should a team that already has ChatGPT start?
Start with your own policy and one real task, before buying anything else. The steps below work with or without a training product.
Write down what may be shared
Agree which kinds of company and customer information staff may paste into ChatGPT, and which they may not. A short written rule beats a long policy nobody reads.
Pick one repeated task per role
Choose something people do every week, such as a customer reply, a meeting summary or a first draft of a report.
Set a simple standard
Write three or four checks for a good output: facts match the source, no promises outside policy, no personal data shared, tone fits the reader.
Test a few people
Give each person a fictional version of the task and review the output against the standard. This shows whether the gap is real before you spend on training.
Decide what to add
If most outputs meet the standard, keep going with the tool and OpenAI's own resources. If they do not, add practice with feedback.
