What a series actually consists of
Before footage, a series is a set of agreed artifacts. Each one answers a question that would otherwise be re-answered, slightly differently, in every episode:
- The premise. What the series is about, in a form specific enough to rule things out.
- The world rules. What is possible here, what is forbidden, and what the place looks like.
- The cast. Faces, expressions, body references, costume states, and how each character stands with the others.
- The language and voices. The pilot language, approved voices, local phrasing, names, and pronunciation guidance.
- The season arc. What changes across the season, in what order, and at what cost.
- The episode order. Which episode carries which turn, and therefore what each one has to withhold.
Tosheo can propose all of these from an idea as small as one sentence. They remain proposals until you approve them, and that distinction is the whole design.
Seven levels, so a fix stays local
A production is modelled as seven nested levels. The reason to name them is practical: a decision made once at the top should not be re-made at the bottom, and a mistake at the bottom should be fixable without disturbing the top.

- 02 · Series The premise and the engine that generates stories inside that world.
- 03 · Season The arc: what changes, in what order, and what it costs.
- 04 · Episode One hook, a small number of scenes, one unresolved ending.
- 05 · Sequence A run of scenes that completes one movement of the episode.
- 06 · Scene One location, one continuous stretch of time.
- 07 · Shot The smallest unit that can be reviewed, rejected, and replaced.
Tools that only operate on the last level are the reason generated series drift. If the shot is the only addressable unit, then the world, the cast, and the arc are being re-described on every request.
What inheritance buys you
Once the foundation is approved, episodes inherit it. The cast does not need re-describing, the locations already exist as references, and the arc already knows what this episode has to accomplish.
That inheritance is why a season should get easier as it goes rather than harder. It is also why the foundation is worth more attention than it usually gets: every weakness in it is inherited too, by every episode.
What to bring, if you have it
None of this is required to start, but any of it shortens the foundation stage considerably:
- A synopsis, screenplay, novel, comic, or existing series bible.
- A sense of the ending, even a provisional one.
- Two or three characters you can describe by behaviour rather than appearance.
- One location you can picture precisely.
- The language the series should be in, and how names should sound.
If you have none of it, a single sentence is a legitimate starting point. Tosheo will propose a foundation for you to accept, reject, or revise.
What stays yours
You decide what becomes canon at every stage, and you approve scripts, characters, voices, storyboards, budgets, corrections, and the final cut.
It proposes and it enforces consistency, and it will not ship an episode you have not accepted. Creators retain control of their original worlds and outputs, subject to the final pilot and service terms. Tosheo is in closed validation and is recruiting a focused founding creator cohort. Questions creators ask
Can Tosheo generate a whole series from a prompt?
It can propose a series foundation, cast, season arc, episode script, and storyboard from a short idea, but these are reviewable proposals. You approve every major stage, and episodes are produced through a pipeline rather than emitted in one step.
Do I need a series bible already?
No. You can start from an idea and let Tosheo propose a foundation, or import an existing synopsis, screenplay, novel, comic, or series bible if you have one.
How is this different from generating episodes separately?
Separate generations do not share state. Here the approved foundation and tracked story state are inherited by every episode, so the cast, world, and history stay consistent.
What are the seven production levels?
World, series, season, episode, sequence, scene, and shot. Decisions are made at the highest level they belong to so they are not re-made below, and corrections happen at the shot level so a fix stays local.
What if my foundation turns out to be wrong?
It is approved before episodes are produced precisely so it can be changed cheaply at that point. Once episodes are released, the tracked story state is what tells you which of them a change would affect.
